Science Fiction, myth, Tom's favorites?

Ok. So I don't know what to call this category. I've just transitioned it from Star Wars to Star Wars vs. Star Trek to Science Fiction. Can you come up w/a helpful category title to include Comics like Superman, LOTR, and Narnia and not travel all the way to fiction, acknowledging that only a few of these pieces would qualify as myth.

It doesn't really do the job, but as far as I can tell, the most commonly used label is "Fantasy and Science Fiction." Science Fiction may be a subset of Fantasy, but it's a big enough genre to merit the distinction most of the time. Adding "Fantasy" allows inclusion of Superman, LOTR, Narnia, and of course George MacDonald's Lilith and Phantastes. :)

Excellent suggestion. I've never quite grasped 'fantasy' as a genre as I've for the most part equated 'fantasy' w/'creative imagination'. But the combination of 'fantasy and science fiction' fills in a lot of holes leading in the direction of 'Fiction characterized by highly fanciful, extra-terrestial, or supernatural elements.' Maybe another broad term would be 'speculative fiction' or 'speculative literature/arts,' such as discussed at http://www.lostbooks.org/speculative-fiction.html.
