Currently listening to Father Ben who has transformed the lives of 25,000 scavengers who live and work on Manila's Smokey Moutain, at one point the worldest garbage dump, over the past 28 years. His Parish of the Risen Christ is now an international model of environmental and financial sustainability as wel as a testimony of God's transforming power. His ministry has earned many honors, including World Vision's 1997 Robert W. Pierce Award for Christian Service.

This is where God wants me to be. You can not be open for business, if your heart is closed to God. You can not be open for business, if you do not live a life worthy of the calling . . . We put our security in our credit cards . . . our mission is not profits . . . in the end everything will be taken away . . . our measure is Christ.

Ram Gidoomal, entrepreneur and former U.K. Group Chief Executive of the Inlaks Group, just has come to stage. He is chairman of the Employability Forum, helping refugees into jobs, and a non-executive director of Amsphere Ltd., a software testing and outsourcing company with interests in the U.K., India, and Singapore. He was a founder, trustee, and chairman of the Christmas Cracker charity, which has given thousands of young people direct of entrepreneurial experience and which has raised over $5 million for projects in developing countries.

We lost everything in the first partition of India and then we were deported from East Africa, we landed in Shepherd's Bush, England. We started with a corner shop . . . Born with the DNA of business. I made a commitment to my uncle, I will go the university. I come from a Hindu family, attended a Muslim school, in a pub I met Christ, the four spiritual laws do work. I have never looked back since then . . . 1987 traveled to Bombay, visited a slum, could not be the same planet we're living on. Just love this thing about calling. I couldn't understood what it met . . .

I couldn't sit at the desk without thinking about the children I saw in Bombay . . . is it me emotionally worked up or is it God's calling . . . if the Word of God, prayer, and the counsel/advise of friends align you're going in the right direction . . . He wants us to do something . . .

What is fair, ethical business? When you go into the slums, the smell will get to you. You start researching, 1.2 billion people live on less than $2 a day and are without access clean drinking water . . .

To much good material, here's the audio file link.
