The World Wide Web? In 1989? Sure, if you had a computer that could interface directly with the mind of Tim Berners-Lee. The first website didn't go live until 1991.

Yes . . . let me try to remember, I started dial-up AOL just after Theresa and I were married. We were still students at Grove City College which places our regular web access to the spring of 1996. We had a VAX email system on campus, some progressives used the system (like Toby) but that didn't give you web access. Theresa had a seminar on how to use the web in the classroom, but it didn't make any sense to her ;-0

What an upgrade to step onto CMU's campus as a volunteer in spring '96, my email box started to fill rapidly not just w/campus email but also with supervisor communication. But again, I largely used email and not the web. I was most probably not a regular web user until sometime in the late 90's. How could one live w/o it ;-) Now it is has become 'required' for a number of forms of communication and the accessing of resources (e.g., bye-bye to paper based organizational handbooks and forms).
