Check out ESN's Week in Review: Last Minute Shopping Edition.

As we journey through Advent, I particularly appreciated Mike's inclusion of the link to the WSJ Opinion piece Seen and Not Heard in Church. If the topic of the realities/value of intergeneration worship is of interest to you, as it is for our family, be sure to read the article and skim the comments.  Some of our thoughts coming. ...

As one who goes to a church where children are welcomed, it seems to me that the kids get used to being quieter, so it isn't that big a deal.

Also, the church does get used to having a little more noise, but it really isn't that much at all. (Though, the kids are noticed when I go home to my parents' church, but they don't have hardly any children there any more)

David and Holly went to a church after leaving CMU that didn't allow children in the service at all. It was pretty weird, I hadn't ever heard of such a thing.

Our children have benefitted from being in the service, and often ask questions of us or the preacher about what the sermon was about.
